Metaphorical Associative Cards (MAC) In between dreams

About MAC and how to use

Metaphorical cards (also known as Metaphoric Associative Cards or MAC) is a projective psychological visual tool that works by bypassing rational thinking to access emotional clarity. Each image functions as a mirror — surfacing thoughts and feelings from your unconscious.

How to use

  1. Set an intention or question you'd like to explore.
  2. Draw intuitively — pick a card number from the deck and look at it without overanalyzing.
  3. Notice what comes up. Ask yourself:
    • What do you feel when you look at this card?
    • Where does your eye go first — and why?
    • Where do you avoid looking — and why?
    • What do you notice in your body when you look at this card?
    • What story does this card tell? What is its moral?
    • How does that story connect to your own situation?
    • Who is the main character, and how are they feeling?
    • What are they doing, and what is driving them?
    • How did they get here — and where are they headed next?
    • If this card held something useful for you, what might that be?
    • If this card could speak, what would it say?
